When you choose Tweetsie Railroad for a group outing, we'll make planning hassle-free. We provide a good wholesome environment for kids of all ages.

Any group of 20 or more paying Guests making a reservation at least 24 hours in advance can take advantage of these special group admission prices:

Adults	$25 (Regular $30)
Children 3-12	$17 (Regular $22)
Children age 2 and under	Free
Price includes: Park admission and all rides and shows.

 

Please note that regular admission rates apply for groups who do not make reservations at least 24 hours in advance; and that Group Rates, other discount programs and complimentary admissions are not valid during Day Out With Thomas™ or the Ghost Train® Halloween Festival

When accompanying a registered group, the Bus Driver's admission is complimentary with proper I.D. - one per bus (Van drivers do not qualify).

School Groups

Take your students on a trip back in time in a unique opportunity for teachers to make history, math, or science class both memorable and fun. For many years now, students have been able to study our historic steam locomotive and the importance of the East Tennessee & Western North Carolina Railroad (ET&WNC) in their school textbooks.

With the "Learning Express", your students can do more than read about it - they can experience it first hand! The end result is a history, math, or science lesson your students will never forget.

In 2008, the "Learning Express" will be offered May 2, 9, 16 and 23, and every Friday after Labor Day through October 31, 2008.

In our on-going educational efforts, we are excited to partner this season with Letterland, a popular and highly successful UK-based phonics program which has helped raise literacy standards in North Carolina, and many countries around the world.  The Letterland system builds 26 friendly characters into the alphabet, giving life to letters and new dimensions to learning to read.

Due to the success of last year's event, we are expanding to a three day event - May 9, 16 & 23.  Contact our Group Sales Office to make your reservation or to learn more about Letterland at Tweetsie Railroad. 

"Top Ten" List of things a group leader should know when planning a trip to Tweetsie Railroad

1. Groups consist of 20 or more paying Guests. Children 2 and under do not qualify as paying Guests.
2. You must make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance to receive special admission rates. Walk-up groups will pay the general admission price.
3. If you do not have 20 or more paying Guests upon arrival, your rate will be the general admission price. No exceptions.
4. Your entire group must be present before admission to the park. Anyone in your group that arrives at a later time will pay the general admission price. No exceptions.
5. Groups must pay for admission tickets and any food orders in one lump sum upon arrival and check-in. Individual payments cannot be facilitated for group reservations.
6. Accepted forms of payment are cash, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and checks (made payable to Tweetsie Railroad).
7. Any changes to your reservation must be made at least 24 hours in advance of reservation date and time.
8. Group rates are not available for Day Out With Thomas™ or the Ghost Train® Halloween Festival.
9. Parking is FREE! (Except on July 4th; $5 per vehicle)
10. All guests who leave the park must have their hand stamped to regain entry back into the park on the same day.
